I am currently a Navy DEPper, and am considering goin FMF. I would like to know how quickly after I do training with the marines would i be deployed, as well as what are the most common orders recieved?

2 doctors have already recommended that I be separated from the military but my commander says I’m not going anywhere bcuz he’s the law and he has the final say so. So I didn’t kno what else to do, I went awol. I wasn’t being taken care of in bct. Please help

I think I remember him saying something about if he goes to college while on the reserves he won’t be sent out but everyone says all the marines are being deployed.

Army basic training Infantry OSUT information please?

I was told that If I can do 60 pushups, 60 situps, and run 3 miles without stopping, I will be fine for Infantry OSUT. What are some opinions on this?

I received a purple heart in 9th grade for pulling a wounded classmate to safety after he took several grapes to the head one day at lunch. It was a sniper attack by the school bully. The victim never fully recovered from the grape attack and could only find gainful employment as a wheelchair bound Wal*Mart Greeter in a small town in South Carolina. I visited him last summer, but he didn’t recognize me with the pigtails and cool shades (which I refuse to remove for anyone).

It is a website that puts all your information together from all training you did in the military and it turns them into college credits.
Are National Guard/Reserve Soldiers who are attending Basic Training Entitled to receive BAH?

I recently have been reassigned to Fort Jackson, SC and am working in a Basic Training S-1 and I cannot find it anywhere that it says NG/Reserve Soldiers are entitled to receive BAH while in training. I have never had to work with NG/Reservists before. Thanks for any help.
Has Army basic training and overall quality gotten weak over the years?

If seems they let just about anyone in these days with a more laxed basic training and government promises (money just for signing up, clearing student debts, etc). An old Army vet once told me that there was a time when Army training was as rigorous as Marines. Nowadays drills instructors aren’t allowed to be too mean anymore, wow, really?
What’s going on here? Is it just this latest generation of young people who have more or less have had everything handed to them their whole lives? Will it get tough again?

AWOL from week 5 of basic training?

Okay, I enlisted into the ARMY in March of this year. A recruiter had approached me at a store and was RELENTLESS(i know, thats his job), but he wouldn’t leave me alone. I informed him that I had a drug problem I was fighting for years (I’m hooked on Oxycontin), and he said joining the Army would be the best thing for me to help me get clean. Plus all the bonuses he said I would get. So I said, “okay, if this could help me get clean, I’ll do it”. That was a BIG mistake. I romanticized the whole Idea of being a soldier. To go from “junkie” to Soldier gave me a new outlook on life.
Well needless to say I AM out of shape since I am an addict so once I got to basic it was HARD for my body. I ended up getting stress fractures in my knees and was sent home on “CON leave” for 30 days to heal. Well I went back to my old ways and started with my addiction. In turn, I went AWOL and its been 55 days. No one has come to look 4 me and I still got my pay. WHY IS THAT, WHY HAVNT THEY LOOKED FOR ME

The first set of paper work has come back and said I am being released. It is now at Walter Reid awaiting the final signature. I am having a lot of problems at home and they wont let me go on emergency leave. The drill sgts have told me to go awol for 2 weeks while my paper-work is being finished… Shoudl i? What would be the consequences? The Drill Sgts said there wouldn’t be any…
