I know they take taxes out of the checks but then you get a check for the taxes that was taken out.I just want to know if i have to report all of that and repay the taxes on it when i return next year

I am a science fiction and fantasy writer and at times it is necessary to reference a battle or have scenes set in a battle. Problem is I only know military terms I hear in other fiction.
I need to know the kind of commands you might give when commanding troops. Like “out flank them”.
Also the kind of things that would be discussed among a team of officers in a tent not far from the front line. Like “gain the high ground”.
tactics strategy fleet commands…etc etc. I’m not looking to actually join the military I just need it to sound good and make sure I’m not misusing terms.
If I had to shell out money for a book I would only do so if you’ve read it and could tell me it’s worth it.

Free Education for military veterans from Texas?

For the past few years, I’ve been told that schooling and education of free for veterans from the state of Texas. My question is, Is the schooling free via G.I. Bil or by other means. I will be getting out soon and wanna prepare myself. If this helps, these are the awards I’ve earned while serving: Iraq Campaign, Afghanistan Campaign, Combat Action, Nato and others that come with deployment. I’ve also heard you need certain awards for certain privileges as well. Thank you for your time.
Is it o.k to require military personnel to be in uniform to receive free products on Memorial Day?

I volunteer with MRDD teens who run a snow cone business in the summer. The teens want to give away free snow cones to uniformed military personnel on Memorial Day. Is this proper military ettiquette to require a uniform? If it is not proper ettiquette, what would you suggest we do?
We’d like to collect care package donations for soldiers – How can we get them shipped for free?

We would like to do a community service project collecting donations for care packages to be sent to our deployed soldiers and I remember seeing the postage fees waived and paid for by someone else like UPS/USPS … can anyone help me find out how to do this? Thanks!

Okay so I am wanting to step up and help, and esspecially since today is the fourth, I reconize how much our freedom really is.
So is there any online letters that you dont have to put your info. on they just send them to soldiers??
I know I did this earlier in life, but i forgot when. Thanks! God Bless!
